Nigeria’s leading full-service Public Relations and Event Management Consultancy firm, Integrated Indigo Limited, has emerged as one of the winners of the 2023 Sabre Awards Africa.

The Agency clinched the award in the Measurement and Evaluation category (Industrial/Manufacturing) for the Maltina Teacher of the Year Competition of the Nigerian Breweries Felix Ohiwerei Education Trust Fund (ETF).

The news of Indigo’s emergence was conveyed in a mail to the Agency by the organizers of the prestigious Pan Africa PR Awards- PRovoke Media, formerly known as Holmes Report. The mail reads, “Congratulations! You are a 2023 SABRE Awards Africa Winner! If you are receiving this email, then you are a winner in the 2023 SABRE Awards Africa. Congratulations”

Integrated Indigo also won a certificate of excellence in Measurement and Evaluation for Western Africa category with its Maltina Teacher of the Year competition.

It would be recalled that Indigo received similar recognitions in the 2022 Sabre Awards for Africa with the Mastercard Foundation COVID-19 Public Awareness Campaign and Hope Documentary Campaign – EU’s Intervention in North East, Nigeria campaign.

Organized by the world’s leading media voice in public relations and communications, PRovoke Media, SABRE Awards EMEA is an annual ceremony to celebrate public relations and communication excellence in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. This award recognizes campaigns, agencies, and individuals that have demonstrated the highest levels of creativity, effectiveness, and integrity in public relations, benchmarking campaigns from around the globe.

This is the second time Integrated Indigo Limited will be recognized and honored for its creativity and work for clients in the public relations and communication space.

Speaking on the award, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer Integrated Indigo Limited, Bolaji Abimbola, described the award as a well-deserved reward for excellence and commitment to delivering exceptional client services.

Abimbola noted that the award is very symbolic as it coincides with the 10th Anniversary of the Agency having commenced operations in 2013. He dedicated the award to the resilient spirit of the team and the unique collaborations and co-creation with clients.

“I am highly excited about this recognition, especially as this is coming when the Agency is marking its 1oth Anniversary. This recognition aligns with our essence, which is centered on Excellence. The awards will be presented at the Africa SABRE award dinner ceremony on May 19, 2023, as part of the 2023 African Public Relations Conference billed to hold in Lusaka, Zambia.

The company named Kemi Ariyo as the new Director of Information and Technology and Harmanpreet Singh Dhillon as Director of Network Transformation and Planning.

According to Airtel, both appointments are set to bring about a new era of innovation and growth within the business.

Speaking on the recent appointments, Chief Executive Officer, Airtel Nigeria, Carl Cruz, said the notably experienced Kemi Ariyo will play a pivotal role in driving Airtel Nigeria’s digital transformation efforts and the company is pleased to elevate an excellent female leader within its ranks to the position.

On his part, Cruz stated that Mr. Harmanpreet will spearhead the telecom giant’s network transformation initiatives, geared towards strengthening its infrastructure and ensuring steady services for subscribers.

“We are thrilled to welcome Kemi and Harmanpreet on board. Their in-depth expertise and experience will be invaluable in driving our technological transformation and delivering exceptional experiences to our over 60 million users. Harmanpreet Singh Dhillon, the company revealed, brings an impressive background experience of over 23 years in the telecommunications industry and a passion for driving technological advancements.

Previously, he had served in various capacities across different organizations, including Vodafone, Nokia, Huawei, and was Chief Technology Officer at One Airtel in Karnataka, India, where he was responsible for leading the technology strategy, forecasting, expansion, operations, cost optimization, and capex planning for the networks team.

Kemi Ariyo also brings years of cross-industry and cross-continental career experience across the IT value chain with a track record of providing technical solutions geared towards service efficiency, customer experience, and business profitability.

Her contribution to Airtel started from her days as a Business Operations Analyst, under the management service at IBM, where she moved into several leadership roles until she fully joined Airtel in 2017.

Recall that Airtel recently completed the first batch of staff promotions for its financial year 2023/24. This promotion cycle saw the elevation of no fewer than 20 employees into senior leadership roles, out of whom three were women, and one out of these women was elevated to a vice president position.
